Distraction Free District Initiative

đŸ“± Distraction-Free Education Act & Yondr Pouches

Starting this school year, Rockdale County Public Schools is excited to support a more focused and engaging learning environment through the Distraction-Free Education Act (HB 340). This new Georgia law helps limit distractions from personal electronic devices for students in Pre-K through 8th grade.

To make this easy and effective, RCPS is using Yondr pouches—simple, secure cases that students will use to store their phones and devices during the school day. Students keep their pouch with them, and it unlocks at the end of the day. It’s a small change that can make a big difference in helping students stay present and connected in class.

Want to learn more? Visit the RCPS info page for details, FAQs, and helpful resources.

If your student loses their pouch there is a replacement fee that must be paid. You can click HERE to pay that fee.
