Meeting Minutes
Report of the Principal
STAR Assessment- Mrs. Coachman shared the SES Star Testing Calendar and discussed the dates for Lexile Parent Letters.
Testing Window is November 30th - December 11th
After School Tutorial- Striving Scholars Academy is up and running.
Holiday Incentives (confirmed) (Need to confirm with Ms. Beckett is this was referring to the sweatshirts.) Staff submitted their sweatshirt sizes to the bookkeeper for order.
Reopening of Schools Survey Data-178 chose hybrid 137 chose virtual 187-no response which will automatically be given the virtual option. Mrs. Coachman has an AP meeting on Friday, Dec 4 and a Q & A session will be held regarding the reopening of schools. Ms. Beckett and Mrs. Coachman has a RCPS leadership meeting on Wednesday, December 10th regarding reopening. More information will be shared regarding the plan to return to the building 2nd semester.
Old Business
Parent participation and attendance for last Learning coach Academy and what will be done for the next one, date, advertisement Mrs. Coachman shared the Learning Coach Academy exit survey data and flyer for the upcoming Learning Coach Academy. The Learning Coach Academy scheduled for Raffles and door prizes will be given to increase parental participation. We will advertise via Twitter, Remind, the SES website and School Messenger. Ms. Anderson suggested passing out the flyers at the PBIS drive by on 12/4/2020. Ms. Graves discussed our upcoming AVID Parent Information Meeting scheduled for 12.17.2020. (Flyer)

movie night - survey teachers- Ms. Beckett sent a survey today asking staff about tentative participation of the 12/5 staff event.
follow up with Muddessar regarding honey baked ham- Mr. Ahmad secured coupons worth $20 ($5 per person expense)
Christmas lights at the school- Mr. Ahmad informed the council that the lights will not be available for the 12/5 event.
Back to school support and plan, parent survey results for virtual, hybrid- Ms. Coachman informed the council that the SES stakeholders will be notified in multiple ways of the reopening plan. Mrs. Coachman has an AP meeting on Friday, Dec 4 and a Q & A session will be held regarding the reopening of schools. Ms. Beckett and Mrs. Coachman has a RCPS leadership meeting on Wednesday, December 10th regarding reopening. More information will be shared regarding the plan to return to the building 2nd semester. Scholars will have breakfast and lunch delivered to the classrooms. Specials will be held virtually to minimize movement in the hallways.
